WWEC’s Ministry Team
WWEC’s Ministry Team
It’s Everyone!
At Wagga Wagga Evangelical Church, the Ministry Team is never just the paid staff and pastors. We believe that Jesus has given every Christian the gifts and opportunities to serve (minister) to their fellow Christians and to the community around them. We see this happening at Wagga Wagga Evangelical Church week-in and week-out as people express love to one another, pray for one-another, serve, provide, train and teach.
Wagga Wagga Evangelical Church is a church where everyone is a part of the ministry team.
Pastoral Staff
Tim Flint – Senior Pastor
Tim was born and raised in Wagga. He has had various jobs in his adult life, including being a tyre fitter, a butcher and a primary school teacher. He loves all things outdoors including camping, fishing and most sports. His main passion though is learning and teaching others about Jesus. As the senior pastor of Wagga Wagga Evangelical Church,Tim leads our staff team and has the responsibility of setting the vision and direction for our church, preaching and teaching from God’s word and paying close attention to our Membership ministry. He is very well supported by his wife Tiana, their four kids (Grace, Laila, Elias and Hosanna) and a loving church family. Tim is deeply grateful to God for His grace expressed through Christ and is constantly encouraged by the way God continues to deepen and equip His people to live transformed lives for His glory.
Mike Lance – Associate Pastor
Mike has a background in psychology and worked for The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC) for 20 years as the school counsellor before coming onboard with WWEC as an associate pastor in 2022. He is married to Beck and they have 4 children, Hannah, Henry, Amy and Matthew. Mike is known for his ambitious projects, creative ideas and his wide range of interests. Mike has a real passion for explaining deep gospel truths to kids and youth in an engaging way. He looks after the Ministry area of church along with Kids and Youth Ministry. He would love to chat to you about how to get involved in serving at WWEC.
Dave Shannon – Associate Pastor
Ministry Trainees (MTS)
We aim as a Church family to take on a ministry trainee regularly. MTS (the Ministry Training Strategy) is an Australian movement that seeks to raise up future generations of gospel workers by inviting them to do hands-on ministry with a trainer for 2 years before going onto full-time theological education.
Mitch Kingsland – MTS Apprentice
Mitch lives in Wagga with his wife Hannah and daughter Elsie. He became a Christian as a teenager at The Lakes Evangelical Church and was challenged to think about full-time ministry as a university student at UNSW. He moved to Wagga in 2020 to work as a high school teacher and is now doing a 2-year MTS Apprenticeship at WWEC (2023/24). As part of this position he has taken on the role of Youth Group Team Leader. Mitch enjoys camping, cycling, dancing and watching British crime dramas.
